ClickUp Layout
ClickUp Layouts — Get oriented to the ClickUp layout so you can find what you need quickly and easily.
- Go to app.clickup.com
- Hover over the sidebar settings and go to Layouts size & style.
- Choose between simple, clean, and modern layouts depending on what you prefer best.
- Click Done.

Hi, I’m Amalie with Systematic Excellence Consulting. And I’m going to go over ClickUp layout today.
So I’m right inside of ClickUp here, and I’m just going to hover over and find the sidebar settings and go to layout, size and style. So I have a couple of choices here, I could set the dark side night bar, or sidebar, sorry. Then I have the simple, I have clean, and I can change the different the way that and if you can see it moving a little bit, I need to see it more, a large size, default, or compact, which is just smaller, or we can do the modern, which is just a slightly different look.
With no separation of spaces, so if I wanted to see the default for this, you know, this is the view that I’ll see. If I click back over here, and if I want the clean, this is the separated spaces. So I’ll show you what that looks like. So it’s just over here and you can see the spaces with the icons right here. And then if I do again, we’ll go to the simple. And this and I’ll hit Done. So then you can see that it’s separated right here. And I can close those if I don’t want to see it so that I have those options right here to look at.
I can also pin the favorites to the top if I want. These are just some other settings here. So again, layout size, and then I can choose from those different options here. I typically use the modern view, but I think the simple is nice too. I think it makes navigation easy. So whichever you choose.
